Argh I love this show already!
I only have five things to say about this:
First of all, just like anybody else, I have highly dislike the powerpuffs. When I'm bored, I'm known to do crazy things like play Quest 64 and the such. However, on a normal basis, I cannot stand the poorly plotted show.
Second of all, why would they do this? The original series obviously will have to compete with this now. For this and couple of other reasons, I'm just a little suspicious of this . . .
Third of all, when have the Powerpuffs ever used signiture weapons? I thought their shpeal was flight, super strength and laserbeam eyes. This adds to my suspicion somewhat.
Fourth of all, if this has to happen, I'd rather have this guy do it. He'd obviously be interested and seems to be a talented artist. (I just happened to be in a chatroom when somebody provided this link for some reason. I just saved it because the artwork was cool looking.)
Fifth of all, that stuff is kinda neat and disturbing at the same time. Moreso disturbing because it's powerpuff related though. . .

Look, I'm a strange person. When I was younger, nothing used to make me laugh any harder then when somebody made fun of me. Unfortunatly for me, my mockers looked at me strangely and stopped when I did this. Go figure.
