I think I've just found another reason to burn the existence of Kerrang!

Kerrang is a confusing magazine (Trust me, I read a recent issue). In the most part, it appears to be designed for 13-14 Linkin Park hooded kids who listen to the radio. Especially when they talk about banal stuff link HIM and the Rasmus who are dressed up Finnish pop bands. And kiss Kurt Cobain's dead ass. "Nirvana r da BEST! I've onlly listened to Nevermind bt they are G8!!!! w00t!"

However, it then brings up bands (in a small way) that these kids wouldn't appreciate or even understand. Like NIN or The Smashing Pumpkins. Even Hell Is For Heroes... Is it invanded post publication by older,wiser rock listeners? Hell, there isn't any Garbage on that list!

Kerrang is as lame as Q has become with it's inherent bias of music. Q is reviewed by 30 somethings who believe that music is only good from the 70s or 00s. Unless you're Kurt Cobian of course.
The best thintg is that Q suddenly say old bands are great when new bands namecheck. New Order and Joy Division? Pixies? All namechecked by new bands and then Ian Curtis gets a feature. Both of these publications insult me.

The Pixies - a band rarely seen on any 'music' channel. But then, oh, what's this? Pixies headlining Reading festival? That was unexpected. And then...oh my, mtv2 awards Pixies with the 'most inspirational band of all time' title. Coincidence? It's all just sickening. Bands are just resurrected and re-buried time and time again whenever the demand is high or low enough.

Sure, there are a good few songs on this list that I like. But that doesn't make them worthy of 100 greatest videos of all time or whatever.

NIN are such a better band then so many on that list, which is why they are my fav band (seeing them in july )

as already said, the list was aimed at young rock fans. i am not saying that they know little about music, just that they seem to have missed all the best music in the past 10 years. maybe is it was the 100 best rock songs of the past year, or for the under 15s.

I hate Kerrang! they have the worse music and and ignor the best. Black Sabbath wasn't in that list and should have been in the Top 5 if Kerrang truely was the monster of noise.

60 of those bands shouldn't be on that list, but top of those who shouldn't be there is the RASMUS, what are 14 year olds up to now when i was 14 we bottled bands like the rasmus. i'm sorry but this has pissed me off now
