Yeah, there's also Paint Shop Pro, but you can't do blending in that program. There's a free one called the gimp, but I don't know much about it.

I know I have posted here like a million times, but can someone make a siggy for me that has Paine or Rikku (if she has a cute black outfit on that looks good on her) and most likely Paine though, and can she have Black wings on her, and in a cool font with a cool color saying "If you cry in the rain, no one can see your tears..." without the quotation marks. You don't have to make a matching avatar, but you can if you want. I'll look for a Paine or Rikku profile pic if you don't wanna make one. Thanks! And ya'll make the world a better place! Thanks! Ya'll guys rock! Someday, I'll be making sigs and avatars for everybody too!

Yeah, it's Photoshop for me these days. I got started with Paint Shop Pro way back in the day but switched to Fireworks when the MX version came out. I got comfortable with Fireworks, but eventually started learning the basics of Photoshop at the same time and I now use it exclusively. On the rare occasion that I use Fireworks these days, I stumble around to remember how to do anything. I doubt I'd be able to use PSP at all.

Not really, personally. I try not to get stuck with a specific style, and there's no real common procedures I follow when I start messing around on a blank canvas.

thats really interesting. u guys must have huge imaginations to come up with all those ideas. i need to learn how to use photoshop better and start making these. any tips for a noob on photoshop, like what to start out messing around with etc?

The standard answer would be to read lots of tutorials, but I could probably count every Photoshop tutorial I've ever read on both hands, and I find the best way to learn how to use it is to just mess around with and get comfortable with Photoshop and its various tools.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to read lots of tutorials, though.

I use photoshop and Paintshop pro at the same time. I find that if I use both programs together I can do alot more with my images.
