It is only supposed to light up when someoen else posts in it and you have not read the post yet. It is supposed to let you know if you have anythingto check out.

Lol, personaly I rarely read every post in a section anyway so those chickens are always blue to me.
I'm still waiting for LOONY BOB TO USE MY YELLOW CHOCOBOS I MADE FOR HIM BECAUSE THEY FIT BETTER WITH THE NEW COLOR SCHEME! Whatever, I still have my oj chocobos for my sig from the experiance.

Well, if by Cookies you mean passwords and stuff. When I go to the forum i'm logged in automatically, does that mean I have Cookies on? Hopefully this'll be cleared up if and when site staff post.
If you want all of them to be made grey, click here. You can find the same link at the bottom right of the forums index, under the name "All forums read" or something similar. Or at least that's how it is on the blue layout, but you're using the brown one so maybe it's different.
Mark all forums read is located right below the little writing in the top right hand corner that says welcome on the brown version.
Yes. If you didn't have cookies on, you couldn't log in at all.
