Aeris had no idea what the materia was for right? and that I think her mother told her she'd know when to use it. that parts probably wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what Aeris said. So if Aeris (SPOILER)didn't Die then the (SPOILER) holy wouldn't have been summoned would it? I think that it's when she (SPOILER) Returns to the planet that she summons it.
