I say start with FF1 o.O;; You can get the re-make on GBA, or find an emulator an the rom. (The original really is better). Failing that I'd suggest 4 or 6 for SNES.

I bet you didn't like the graphics. Thats why none of my friends played it. "Oh, the graphics are horrible, it must suck!" Today's gamer doesn't consider the storyline. They just want something that looks good! The part in Midgar may be a little dull at first, but once you get farther in its excellent.
