True, but I think that because so many people use the plural form for teams, the rules of grammar regarding them have changed. And before anyone says "You can't just change the rules of grammar!" go look at how they spoke in the year 1000, of course grammar and language changes. It is never static - it's updating itself with the needs of society, but go look up the Sapir-Whorf theory if you care about such things Anyway, whether or not it is a good change is up for debate, but there you go.
