Aeris is the one who sounds desperate. Tifa is desperately trying to help Cloud regain his memories 'cause he's unsure of himself.
There is one moment in which Tifa clearly sounds jealous of Aeris. ONE! and that's typical of friends especially those that have lost touch over the years.
