Yeah, if the ps3 is coming out this year (or so they say), it would be stupid to release it on the ps2.

Those are obviously PS2 graphics, and it's extremely rare for games to switch consoles mid-development.

It wont be released on that date. Late 2006 will more than likely be the earliest. 2007 is now looking the most likely time for release.

The PS3 will be out in 2006 and 2007. That's way too late to release a big-name PS2 game. I expect late this year or early 2006. Of course, it'll be out in Europe sometime in 2036.

I dont think theres any hope for it to make this year. Theres been no info on it for ages which doesnt mean Squares not well into the project but when I look at games like KH2 which were suggested to be released in christmas 2004 when first seen but have now been pushed into 2006 I really couldnt give DoC much hope of a 05 release for Japan.

Crisis Core is still slated for a 2006 release, so I'd imagine that early 2006 would be accurate for DoC.

The PS3 will be fully backwards-compatible.
