Cait Sith for Final Fantasy fans is like Jar Jar Binks for Star Wars fans. In other words, Square doesn't want to add a character that many fans would hate in the movie. I thought Cait Sith was an alright character and certainly not as annoying as Jar Jar Binks or even some other FF characters.
