My favorites would have to be Siren and Eden.
Mine would probably have to be Diablos cause the higher the hp, the higher the damage!
I was rather a fan of Carbunkle which can help a lot during magical battles if you ever get stuck (the first battle with Edea, for example, is laughably easy with Carbunkle).
I also liked Bahamut and Eden, but many people like those. Tonberry was a GF I was looking forward to getting because of it being a Tonberry, acually. Cactuar, too. Brothers had a funny animation, so they deserve some credit. As does Leviathan for it's lovely "Recover" ability (I'm sure other summons get this, but because of the high AP needed, and Leviathan can get it straight off the bat, I tend to use Leviathan to get that ability).

one of my favorite smmons is ifrit. not to powerful, but i've always been a fan of the ifrit summon through all the FF games. i like shiva and leviathan as well. :chop:
The animation for the Brothers GF is very amusing, and probably my favorite to watch.
As far as most useful - probably Eden or Bahamut.
For personal favorites, I suppose Shiva and Carbunkle would rank up there somewhere.

I loved Ifrit's attack, but my fave has to be Quezocoatl. He hit enemies with a THUNDERBLAST for good sake!

Odin. I also enjoyed Ifrit though. I never really used GF's in FFVIII, but Odin was probably my favourite, simply because of instant kills.

it isn't a summon that you can really control, but i love the Phoenix summon as well. but i've been a fan of the Phoenix summon since 7.
