What's your "untouchable" band? The band that you simply will not allow people to badmouth in front of you, no matter how rational you normally are?
My "untouchable" band: The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Not exactly a band... but when people badmouth Bic Runga, bad things happen to them.
Of course, this doesn't affect people who're merely expressing an opinion, such as "I don't like her songs". It only applies to genuine badmouthing.
I'll let people be entitled to their opinions, but I don't like it when people bash Nine Inch Nails.
I don't mind people critisizing bands I like. It just means they're wrong.

I guess the worst would be Pink Floyd, though I don't let much band-bashing get to me.

People don't critisize the bands I like, because the bands I like are actually impossible to be critisized.

I don't care about badmouthing my favourite band (The Smashing Pumpkins), because it used to garner a response from me. They bash it deliberatly, so I ignore or grin.

I don't like it when people bash The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More and Rage Against The Machine... But i'm not really bothered when they do, since most of the time, it's people who listen to music that I don't like, so I can just bash those bands.
Same here. They're still original, still energetic, still a unified band, thye still rock, they have amazing chemistry, they spread the message of peace and love....blah blah blah........Yeah, that's pretty much it for me. oh yeah....and they still create amazing music. I still actually listen to all their albums, including Blood Sugar Sex Magic and even Freaky Styley quite often.
