    Unhappy ff7 pc won't work

    hi i just got my ff7 pc game and when i tried to install it, it said "the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications".i meet all the system requirments and have windows 2000 professional. if this has happened to anyone or if anyone knows what to do then please tell me.

    You need an emulator, do you have an emulator?? I think that's it.

    Only if you are running the PSX version. The PC should be stand alone. I don't know what the problem could be but considering it says file system that makes me want to say you are not formated as NTFS and are formated as FAT32...somehow.

    I have the game at home...I think I still have all 4 discs also.

    This should be in FFVII.
    As I've said before, FFVII has all sorts of problems running on Windows 2000 (FAT32 or NTFS). I have never seen a succesful case... You need to change your OS if you want to play FFVII on the PC.

    Go for it bro... but keep in mind I'm talking about FFVII for PC, not an emulated PS version... thats a peice of pie. Cake. Tiramasu.

    FFVII ran fine on my PC with win2000. Although it wasn't exactly "legal", it was still the PC version.

    But I'm just excellent.

    I'm sure Eidos have a patch to download for running FFVII on anything higher than Windows 98.
