Video game characters that you love.

There are way too many threads based on the video game characters that we hate. It's time we started focusing our attention on positive things. So what characters do you love?

As for me, The characters that would be on the top of my list are Elly from Xenogears, Terra and Celes from FFVI, and Squall/Rinoa/Selphie from FFVIII. I also love Aeris and Vincent from FF7, and to a lesser degree, Cloud.

hm.. I really love Ryo from Shenmue 1 + 2, not to mention his counterpart in the game but i dont know her name.

Kuja is kick ass, so is Eve and Aya from parasite eve ^_^
Ive also had a crush on Sora ever since i saw some yaoi with him in it >.< hes soo cute!
and last but not least I like Yuna Gunner style and Paine all styles

Elhaym van Houten - Xenogears. Gosh I love Elly. Terra and Rydia kick mucho asses. Aeris... Rikku... Rika from Phantasy Star 4. Jade from Beyond Good and Evil. Just love pretty friendly girls I guess. Rinoa and Selphie were cool. But really, nobody compares to Elly. Even though she didn't start out friendly. Her character was complex and realistic, and the game was flooded with character development. Just puts her at the top of the pile no matter how I stack the deck.

I forgot to mention Rydia. She MADE FFIV. Seriously, the game would be nothing without Rydia.

And I agree with everything you said, Vyk, about Elly.

I'd have to say Aeris from FF7.

+She was willing to give up her life to save the planet
+She was cute

Her death was very significant to the story... Her cause was also very mysterious, and you only really find out what she was trying to accomplish late in the game. I felt so sorry for her when her parents were killed, growing up in the slums. Also, she is the person who pulled Cloud out of the lifestream at the end of the game.

FF7 simply would not have the emotional depth it had without poor aeris' death, and her connection throughout the story. I can't remember exactly what happened in the City of the Ancients late in the game when you were looking for the key (underwater cave somewhere), but it was also very important to the plot.

Aeris' death gave everyone motivation and determination in the party. She was crucial to FF7.

Also, though, I love love love Kain and Rydia from FFIV, Rinoa from FFVIII (only not when she was a dumb girl, when she was being smart and cool), Aeris from FFVII, Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Vivi and lots of other people, just can't think of them.
