I'd try my best to set up some form of democratic system where leadership changed hands after a while so that new thoughts and ideas could be heard and perhaps, if others agreed, perhaps be put into use.

More than anything else, I'd try to give as much freedom as possible, freedom of speech, to practice religion, to your own beliefs so long as they directly infringe on another, and the like.

I'd also make it my duty while in power to talk to and listen to as many people as possible each and every day, to see how they're doing, hear what they have to say and perhaps see if there was anything I could do to help.

The only real request I'd make would be for disputes to be discussed and not resolved violently and for all people to be active, eat healthy and exercise regularly.
