    anyone know where i can find news about other countries, like national news? (e.g. BBC for UK) i've been trying to find news about countires like Cuba n China and Russia but i cant find any english websites with daily national news so any help would be greatly appreciated

    I doubt the official news source of a communist state would be too reliable anyway. I'd just keep an eye out for stories about those places in your present sources.

    heh i have no sources really unless you count google......but general sources? none thats why this thread is here

    There are lots of incorrect information and propaganda in the news anywhere,
    regardless of location and form of government.
    What you should do is to double check all news with alterative sources.

    For Australian news you can go for The Age or The Sydney Morning Herald. They're sister sites (Age = Melbourne, SMH = Sydney) so the international news will be more or less the same between them.

    I quite like The Guardian's website as a BBC alternative.

    I have the Moscow Times for Russia, and the New York Times now has an English version of Asahi Shinbun for Japan... I don't know any major Chinese sources. I assumed that you didn't want an unbiased news source, as there is no such thing, but just one from a different point of view. I would give a link to the Russian one, but I have access through a University.
