WEll I just went to see Elie Wiesel speak and I got to ask him a question.Anyway he said the thing worse than hate is indifference. Why someone wouldn't stand up to the hatred. Why people just stood there and ignored hatred going on around them and did nothing about. He said that is the opposite of love.

    Hate is good, yo.

Hate is that emotion spawned from measly anger that allows us to utterly annihilate whatever obstacles stand in our way! I never had to fight a dead man, and I can't klill a man unless I truly hate him. So we need hatred in order to accomplish tasks when foolhardy imbeciles try to stand in our way!

The big problem is that hatred is such a loose emotion that it gets misused unconsciously. I mean, here you are, say, clubbing to death the dude who broke into your daughters room with a knife, right? You ain't doin' nothing wrong. Just murdering some murderous scumbag.
Well, with misappropriately used hatred, you might end up in the wrong little girl's bedroom with some freaking wood lodged in your perveted skull because the underage babe's dad didn't like you in there.

Hatred is good, but it must be controlled. Just like finances and people.

    Hate/Hatred seems something natural.
You throw the human component into anything -system, or otherwise- and its similar to throwing a wrench into moving gears (for all you old-school cartoon lovers ).
But, we humans also have the faculty of reason. Whether or not we use that reason to keep our actions, impulses, and emotions in check are up to us.
    Meh, my two cents.
    I'm out.

I think most hate is based in fear or ignorance.

I think most hate, or most hate with a reason, springs from loving people. If you love someone, and someone else tries to destroy them, then you'll probably feel hatred. Say, if some guy raped your little sister. Your hatred would not come from ignorance, it would come from loving your little sister and wanting to protect her.

hate is what fueled the holocaust well it was more than that but part of it was hate and the part that kept the holocaust going even though german citizens knew this was happening was indifference. They were indifferent towards it and didn't want to get involved even though they knew what they saw was wrong.

Love,Hate,Indifference. Are powerful feelings that influences the world in so many ways.

True, which is why I say most, not all.

That is a strong feeling. But there are a couple of things I hate....

1st- A guy that cuts a puppy open (alive) and pulls out it's guts. This is a real video that my friend stumbled upon (and showed me, which was real messed up on his part) and makes me want to vomit. It is the one most sick things in the world. Sorry if I offend anyone.

2nd- People that enjoy killing and/or torturing animals or people. (Mainly animals though for me)

3rd- Rapists and such.....(I know some people that have been you know and that makes me hate the person that did it.)

I don't know if there are more, but I'm not gonna try and figure out what or who I hate.

I think of hate as human nature anyways. It is something a lot of people can have. But it is something that a lot of people don't. ( Don't nkow how that fits in there)

and if there are people who don't enjoy reading the 1st one I can take it out. I've been debating if I should keep it in or take it out. I really don't like thinking about that. Just pm me or somethin.

The thing i hate is indifference towards serious issues that happens right n front of people yet they want to think that it doesnt exist or they don't want to do anything about it.Indifference in my opinion is more hurtful than hate because it shows that they don't care for you and that they really dont care neough to come out nad say its wrong to kill such and such people or inprison them for false reasons. This indifference though is all over american society.Like the mis-treatment of minorities.People that arent int he minority group really is just plain indifferent of it or they say that racial tensions are next to nothing in the UNited States which whoever says that is waay off and they show that they are indifference because they don't have to deal with it.Sure hate is hurtfulbut hey they are doing something aobut an issue.Wen it comes to indifference it irritates me more in my opinion.

That's horrible. It's a shame this kind of thing happens so often, though; A few months back I heard about a pair of soldiers who killed a litter of kittens by setting them on fire.

I think there ought to be tougher laws with regard to this. Fines and public disgrace aren't enough of a deterrent. There need to be jail terms for cruelty to animals, long ones. Just because they're kittens or puppies doesn't mean they don't feel pain like we do.

But uh, back on topic, there are lots of things I hate. Intolerence, racism, bigotry, etc. Still, it's difficult to evoke a real sense of hatred for something unless you've experienced it first-hand.
    Eyes on me.

Hate is something brough on by society and upbringing. A hatred for a certain people dosn't come from birth. Someone decides ____ is bad for the country/society/relgion. They are good speakers. People listen. They raise their children to belive _____ is bad for the country/society/religion. It's a cycle.

Homophobia. No one is actually scared of it. With all the negativity and controversy surrounding it, is it really a suprise children refer to something bad as "That's so gay."?
