Default [A] My Parrot named Harley

This is really one of my first attempts at using colouring pencils in a mixing colour sort of way. Usually I just use them as solid colours, if you get what I mean, and never really seriously. Considering I'm not too talented with coloring pencils, I'm really happy with how this came out. This is a picture of my parrot Harley, he's 3 years old. If I could fix anything with this picture, I'd try to make his leg look more feathery, because it looks like it just plain sticks out of his chest. I'm pretty happy with most of it. Enjoy and any comments?

the figure itself is questionable, and the shadowing can use work, but the color gradient between his back and his tail is excellent.

Being wise comes in two parts: 1) having a lot to say and 2) not saying it.

Thanks to Starry Relm and Sphere for the Sig and Avatar (in their respecive order)

I think you've blended the pencils really well especially on his back! It's very nice. The back is definately the strongest point though.

Thank you guys! I'll try working on the shadows. I'm not sure what colour I'd use exactly for that, I assume a greyish black colour.

One of his feet is up too high. The head should have bent further over to reach it, not the foot go up that high.
