Hate to tell you, but NO ONE can "pick them out easily". Unless you walk in on one while he's pleasuring himself to a recording of his 9yo. daughter's ballerina recital. That's a solid givaway. They come in every shape and size. Race, gender, (post-pubescent) age, creed, country, language, or any social denomination, you'll find pedophiles are usually as ordinary as everyone else (except that distinction).

Look, young teens, even children can and have been seduced. It really was seduction, the children have as much as said it when they were older. But, the shame, the emotional damage, it doesn't change if the child agrees or fights back or anything. It doesn't change, never changes, to believe a child can be in a healthy sexual/romantic relationship with an adult truly is insane.

Oh, and the definition of insanity "repeating the same action over and over again, yet expecting a different outcome" is exactly the right word. Because the outcome is always the same: permament damage to the child which will last, probably, their entire lives. Which have a tendancy to end with suicide or drug overdose. You damn them to never being able to hold a stable relationship, at very least. Because some pervert put their "love" over the well-being of the child, that child will suffer for the rest of his/her life.

I've seen it too often, I've personally treated some of them. I've talked to them, listened to their stories, the entire time calming them and helping them... the entire time... wishing that I could somehow satisfy my desire to kill those monsters with my bare hands. Anyone who knows the aftermath could NEVER condone the act... except other monsters.

It's one of the reason I quit psychology... I couldn't seperate from my emotions enough to effectively help. Every time, I got a little closer to just throwing away my resistance, hunting down, and torturing those scumbags until they begged me for death. The difference between my and they becomes clearest at this point: they give to their temptation, I resist mine.
