In my opinion, this game will take awhile to drop off. Even Ultima Online and Everquest have been around forever (I think over 8 years?). Square-Enix seem to be keeping good maintenance on the game and supplying regular updates. Hell, they've only bought out two expansions - I'd say they still have a fair bit more up their sleeves.
