I don't like Madonna much, but at least she comes up with interesting/innovative stuff. She sets fashion trends man. XDI don't see why she can't, Madonna's been riding fads successfully for almost 20 years.But let's hope it never comes to that.

To put my opinion in plain and simple, I dont like her. Just like how I hate a lot of bands nowadays. They are a bunch of clones that probably had their way paid off by their parents. What I like about Avril Lavigne is her literary translated name, April The Grape. That's about it on my part.
When I saw this title I knew it was going to become a b*tch fest thread. I like her. But I'm not gonna spark anything. I actually admire her. But it appears some would say that's only because I don't know enough about her. I do recall an interview where she got mad at people like this that hate her for being some poser punk when she never said she was punk in the first place. Someone want to show me where/when she started calling herself punk? Or are all you assuming as well just so you can refer to her as a poser too? (:
I just like her style. Especially now that she doesn't try so hard to wear the ugliest things she can find. She finds darker versions of "normal" clothes. And I think it suits her better. It's like what I would wear, sans going to hot topic and going over board. But even as "trendy" as that place is, I'd still shop there just for my own personal look. Forget trends and fads. Everyone can be themselves. If it seems similar to something who cares. Not everyone wants to be labelled for their likes. Then there's others who don't care. And those that try to become a certain stereotype. But still... who cares?
I admire the people that just don't like her personality and/or singing/lyrics. Everything else is just really immature, and shallow image-based BS...
Well, her music is called punk by her promoters (and I assume by her), and I've watched an interview when she first came out and I had no idea who she was, where they asked her about punk bands and she talked about how punk she was. I cant remember exactly what was said, though.
