To be quite honest, Avril's songs have always annoyed me. She's not a particularly good vocalist and whether she writes her songs are not, the lyrics aren't anything special either.

Like many others, it's her attitude that gets to me. Sure, she lies a lot. Contradicts herself quite often. What really gets me, though, is her super-inflated ego. She thinks she's some kind of musical superstar. Her main fan-base is pre-teen girls. Her music is pop whether she'll admit it or not. She's no better than Mrs. Spears. She is a Mrs. now, right? I could have sworn I heard something about her getting married.

Either way, overall she's just an annoying person with no real redeeming qualities that give me any reason to respect or even remotely like her or her music.

Besides, spelling Sk8ter Boi like a ten-year-old AOLer is hardly punk. In fact, it's degrading. She should be ashamed of herself.

Maybe in years to come she'll realize what she is and then actually develope some real style and become a half decent musician. That, however, is highly unlikely.
