well, mine were, obviously, everyone in FF X-2. other then that, i cant think of anyone. but that new FF12 guy is under high suspicion...

Usefulness would be Cait Sith, but I liked the way Cait Sith was in the game, those who've played through will know why and I'm too lazy to type it all out and spoiler tag it.
As far as personalities, Algus from FFT annoyed the crap out of me. Aeris was rather irritating too. And Brother.

Rinoa from FFVIII. She had very little to do with the story other than an extremely contrived and uncrealistic romance plot. She was an irritating whore, to boot.

And neither does Vincent. Cloud only started to give a damn about anything after he learned that Sephiroth was still alive, and then the only thing he gave a damn about was killing Sephy for his own personal revenge. He didn't care about the state of the world when he did missions for Avalanche.
I don't really care what stereotype Cloud falls into. It was just my way of saying that I had never gotten the described vibe off of Vincent. I think the 'I'm too cool' part is where I'd have to disagree. Vincent was pretty detached from the world, what with his 'troubled past' (yeah, original) and that he had no one left to care about. Or something.

Agreed. Rinoa was a disgrace to women, and an annoying, clingy, spoiled, loud, whiny little bitch. There is at least one character in every FF game that annoys me to boot, but Rinoa beats them all.
