You don't have to be outgoing and cuss to have the perceived "badass" attitude. I guarantee you that the majority of the FF7 community will tell you that Sephiroth is a "badass" even though his attitude is nowhere near that stereotypical domain. Perhaps I should rephrase my statement into something like "he's trying too hard to be perceived as a badass, and is nothing special outside of that."
