i'm confused about the ending (spoiler)

so yea i got 100% from my game+ thing, and i still dont have the perfect ending, i only have when (SPOILER)tidus hugs yuna in the farplane and nooj, baralai, and gippal making the speech and thats it! i'm really confused...how come i don't have the perfect ending?

Well, in the farplane, were you sure to hit "X" three times and here the three whistles, and an image of Tidus?

Also, once defeating vegnegun, were you sure to answer "yes, I want to see Tidus" to the faith?

When getting 100% on a New Game+, you still have to be sure to do the following things:

1) Visit Maechen in Leblanc's Chateua during Chapter Three.

2) Have Yuna whistle on the Farplane three (or is it four?) times during the end of Chapter Three by hitting X.

3) Have Yuna follow the Moogle apparition around Luca during Chapter Five.

4) Witness the naming of Vidina in Chapter Five.

5) Hit X while crossing the Farplane after beating the game, and then say "Yes!" to the Fayth.

If you didn't speak with Maechen, that would be the source of your problem. You need to do this to even get either good ending (which one is triggered by your response to the Fayth), much less the Perfect Ending.

When getting 100% on a New Game+, you still have to be sure to do the following things:

1) Visit Maechen in Leblanc's Chateua during Chapter Three.

This is the hardest thing to figure out, but it must be done to even get the Good Ending, which is needed to view the Perfect Ending (Perfect Ending = Good Ending + 100% completion).

2) Have Yuna whistle on the Farplane three (or is it four?) times during the end of Chapter Three by hitting X.

You need to press "X" when Yuna says she's lost (after she's become angry and yelled out loud). After that, keep whistling by pressing "X" until a figure resembling Tidus escorts Yuna out of the Farplane.

3) Have Yuna follow the Moogle apparition around Luca during Chapter Five.

That's not necessary, you don't have to do that.

4) Witness the naming of Vidina in Chapter Five.

Not necessary, either. And thanks for spoiling me the name of Lulu and Wakka's child. I never got this one done, and I still got the Good Ending on my first time through the game.

5) Hit X while crossing the Farplane after beating the game, and then say "Yes!" to the Fayth.

That's right. Choosing "Yes!" there leads to Good Ending (and Perfect Ending after that if you have 100% completion), choosing "It's better this way..." pretty much leads to the Normal Ending (except you'll see a sunset at Zanarkand and some monkeys after the ending credits).

You only got an extended version of the Normal Ending, and that's because you didn't speak with Maechen. Tidus hugging Yuna in the Farplane scene, which I often call "The Final Farewell" scene, is the extended event in the Normal Ending (you'll get the completely normal Normal Ending if you don't press X at all when leaving the Farplane), and while it's not as well made as the Good Ending, it's still a deep and meaningful way to end Tidus/Yuna's story.

If you still want to view the perfect ending, you'll need to start a New Game Plus again. If you already have 100% completion, playing the game again shouldn't take too long since you don't have to visit all the events any more. However, you'll have to do these 3 things:

1) Speak to Maechen at the basement of Leblanc's mansion in Guadosalam during Chapter 3
2) Whistle in the Farplane (press X) at the end of Chapter 3 until Tidus' image leads you out of there
3) Whistle in the Farplane after (SPOILER)Shuyin and Lenne have faded away at the end of Chapter 5, and answer "Yes" to the Dream Child's question.

By the way, the Perfect Ending, while adding some depth to Yuna and Tidus' story, is still just a cutscene - it's not an FMV. In addition, I think it's a bit weird to have two big scenes after the ending credits.
