Washingtonville – The ninth-grader had grown interested in the Columbine High School shootings that left dozens wounded and 15 dead, police said.
The 14-year-old downloaded pictures of the two gunmen – Eric Harris and Dylan Kleibold – off the Internet. Her parents said she had grown fond of violent games, music and videos over the past year, according to the Washingtonville police.
Then last week, the girl threatened to shoot other students at Washingtonville High School on April 20 – the date marking the sixth anniversary of the Columbine shootings, officials said.
She’d drawn pictures depicting a girl in the school hallway with a firearm. She’d created a short “death list” containing the names of students she was angry with, authorities said.
The young girl had asked another student if there was a map of the school available, officials said.
