Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was the BEST platformer game ever made. Screw this Mario bullcrap.
Yeah Sonic 3 was really nice. Specially when you attach S&K with it.
Sonic 3 was my favorite game in the series, but I could never get past a certain part in the carnival stage.
Same 'cept I could never get passed the 3rd level...
Sonic 3 was the best game of all time! I used to play that game so much!

I've only played the newer Sonic Games. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were decent, Heroes was crap. The speed factor in it is certainly interesting, and I like using Sonic/Shadow because of how they play, but generally it's just kind of blah.
I loved Sonic 1, 2 and 3 for the Megadrive, and then Sonic and Knuckles came along and blew the others out of the water. But wait! You can lock S & K onto Sonic 3 and play a combined adventure of epic proportions? Now that's genius.
I enjoyed Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast, but Sonic Adventure 2 was a complete waste of time for me. The graphics were excellent, but the level design was awful, and the fact that you had to play loads of stages with Tails and Knuckles really put me off.

I think sonic (was) great
Sonic 1,2,3 and adventure were really good
But Adventure 2 was pitiful and Heros was awful
But the advance games are ok but not great
Has anyone ever played Sonic Battle? It's really good (I would love to see it on a 3D platform).
I've only really played the Megadrive series, but Sonic 1 and 2 are a couple of my favourite games ever. I love them. I liked Sonic 3 too, especially the big ring zones, but Sonic 1 and 2 were the best. Sonic 2 was probably the very peak. Chemical Plant Zone <3

Agreed. I didn't mind Tails so much though, as I rather enjoyed those levels. The Knuckles ones were just tedious in 2 though.Originally Posted by Rainecloud
