Default May cause itching, hair loss, teeth falling out...

Isn't it strange how in Commercials for some kind of Medicine, when it shows everyone being happy, they tell you the horrible side effects? O_o

    I mean like...

It shows a Man having a great time with his Grand Children, and then it tells you that he could die any minute. O_o

Some of those things mentioned are actually a risk that's worth taking for these people because the problem that they're taking this medication for is usually far worse than those side effects.

I'm disgusted at the television advertising of prescription drugs in general.

We don't have that in England.

When I was in the USA, I saw an advert for some new pill to ease period pains and the list of side effects they said was longer than the bloomin' advert.
I mean, it caused depression, soreness, itching, rashes, may serve to make pains worse.....then they said 'The New blah blah pill - making it easier at that time of the month..'

    Yeah...
Made me laugh out loud. Way to sell a product.

Listing it on the product is fine, but..when you are activly trynig to convince someone your product is good on TV and you go and say how bad it is...hmm..

I suppose you need it as coverage for all the people who will go sue you if they experience any side effects. :P

Wouldn't it be legal to leave the warnings out of the TV commercials and just leave them on the label of the actual meds? People would still get a warning that way.

Actually, U.S. law REQUIRES medical advertisments to include the list of potential side effects. You get these messages on Aspirin commercials too, but "drowziness and do not operate heavy machinery" is a LOT less horrible than "if erection lasts for longer than 3 hours, consult a physician".
