Yeah, get loads of balloons and make sure that hardly any birds hit you.
11-15 balloons and I think the least ya can get hit by a bird is 1-2 times, hope this helps!!

Its nearly impossible and highly frustrating - the closest I ever got was 0:0:05. You get 3 seconds knocked off your time for every balloon you grab, and 3 seconds added for every bird that hits you. So, if it takes you, say 15 seconds to reach the end of the race, you need to grab at least 5 balloons and not get hit by any birds. It usually takes about 15-20 balloons, and its hard. Good luck.
Just get about 13-15 balloons and make sure that only 1 or 2 birds hit you and if possible none and youll do it. Make sure that you get there in about 34-36 seconds.

Persistence. The balloons are placed randomly, and eventually you will get the right set of balloons and the chocobo trainer will go a certain way allowing you to get a lot of balloons. You just have to be patient. I've played FFX several time, one time I got the Sun Sigil in about ten tries, another in three, another in forty-five. Just keep at it. If it's annoying you, just stop for a while and try again later.

P.S. You need to hope you're feeling lucky.In order to win the sun sigil, you'll have to complete the race in under 0 seconds! How does this work? Let's imagine you reached the finish line in 35.9 seconds, having touched a bird. This means that the 'interim time' is 38.9 seconds. However, you also caught 13 balloons, so 13 x 3 seconds are deducted from your result. thus, the final time is 0:00 seconds.

This is the single most annoyingly frustrating mini game ever created. I would even say Satan himself left a semen deposit on the blueprints. It needs a mix of Skill & Luck. Without either one, you are doomed. The most important part of this is at the start. If the balloons are not in your favour in the first stretch, you won't get it. It took me 3 days, two controllers and a handful of valium, but on the third day, God created Victory.
I never had any problems with this mini game. I just did what I always did. I rarely get hit by a bird, if I do, it's usually intentional. Am I very skilled at that, or just insanely lucky? My friends say I'm insanely lucky, to describe what they said about me, I'm not sure it's fit to be on forums.
To be fair, it's probably a little from column A and a little from column B. You obviously had this task nailed pretty good, but others, like me struggle like hell with it. For me, I NEVER found the Lightning Dodging difficult. I was able to do it first try every time. Some people call that game Satan. People just have different mental & reactional skills. The next time I'm playing a mastered game, I'll post you my saved file just before I need the Sigil
I managed this mini game on the fourth attempt. On a bad day, and I was tired, and I had a bit of a head cold, and it was dark, and I'd been playing all day.
