    Definately in my view it is a mix of the two.

    You see the events of pre-WWI, WWI, post WWI, and pre-WWII helped create Hitler how he was, Hitler(or a man like him) then would have the power from the previous developements to take control and thus affect history. Therefore history influenced Hitler, who then in turn influenced history.
    There are probably other examples but I will leave it with this,basically without WWI and the Treaty of Versailles hitler probably wouldn't have made it to power. That is a event affecting history, however Hitler then affected history with the power he gained. Without hitler, even if another similar man took power, things would have been different, at least slightly.


    STILL Updating the anime list. . . I didn't think I was that much of an anime freak! I don't even want to consider updating the manga list!

    I tend to think history is just cyclical.
