Alone And Unaware, The Landscape Was Transformed In Front Of Our Eyes by Red Sparowes from At The Soundless Dawn
I haven't listened to Red Sparowes in quite a long while so I figured it was about time to give them their due. Very calming.
Down For Whatever :: Ice Cube
I watched 'Office Space' for the billionth time and although the song always caught my attention I never thought to look it up until recently. I like it despite the fact that I got over my 'rap phase' about 9 years ago.
Nancy Wilson - Guess Who I Saw Today
The song have become one of her signature tunes, and it was originally introduced in the show "New Faces of '52", which marked the beginning of the legendary Eartha Kitt.
Shining - 21st Century Schizoid Man
utterly insane King Crimson cover, by far the most intense Crimson cover I've ever heard. Perfect ending to a superb, groundbreaking album.
this is the Norwegians btw, not the Swedes, although I like the Swedes as well.
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. This song is a canon song at the dances at camp and so listening to it makes me nostalgic and sad. This is also the song where I danced with the guy I really liked at camp. Those were good times...
Era Vulgaris
"My life's a chip in your pile. Ante up!" ~Setzer, FFVI
"Knights do it two-handed!" ~Drunkard, FFV
Play That Funky Music. Need I say more?
dälek - Black Smoke Rises
Anyone who thinks all hip-hop sounds the same really owes it to themselves to listen to dälek. One of the most unique artists I've ever heard in any genre.
Meh. Not really into rap or hip-hop.
Never Gonna Be Alone by Nickelback. OMG Teh nickelback.
The Crablouse :: Lords of Acid
Basically the only standout thing from the new Zack Snyder film's trailer was this song imo. It's so smurfing catchy, and I cracked up when I listened to the lyrics properly.
dälek has as much in common with industrial and noise music as it does with most hip-hop.
dälek - Opiate the Masses
Delicate - Damien Rice
A simplistic yet beautiful song that always reminds me of the early days of LOST... when it was good.
...We could be heroes...
Symphony No.5 in C minor, op.67 - 1-4 (Allegro con brio, Andante con moto, Allegro, Allegro) composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, as conducted by Carlos Klieber, played by the Wiener Philharmoniker.
One of, if not THE, best. This song is one of the most memorable things that I had the pleasure of playing in a true symphony.
Don't believe me? Skip to 6:00 and listen to that dynamic, thundering beauty!
...
Disco Ensemble - Black Euro.
Quickly becoming one of my favourite bands, all of their songs are strangely addictive but not in a sell-out mainstream way, infact they're one of Finland's best kept musical secrets. I absolutely adore them!
"In the world of dull mainstream-rock and self-repeating emo-bands, Disco Ensemble sounds fresh and inspiring."
