I was confused for a moment as I wasn't sure if this was meant to be a straight satire, as Swift's was, but I see what you're saying now and your point is well taken indeed.
So long as Vegans are free to not eat meat, and people who do enjoy meat, such as myself and you good sir, are allowed, then everything should be smooth sailing. Here's hoping it stays that way.
