Another thing that annoys me is the over use of the word 'like'.
The correct way...

I was INFECTED w/a TXTSPK virus. I can't hlp mslf. As for the "lol" thing. I only use that when I'm talking about things that would otherwise sound serious . . . and arrgh! believe it or not, some people still take me seriously and I happen to know these particular people are well aware of what "lol" means.
Here's an example: "Rufus was an orphan adopted by Shinra, lol, who was also an orphan, lol, which explains why they don't have a real last name. Shinra doesn't count because: Shinra Shinra sounds like Pizza Pizza."
Yes, I'm sure that if I had actually written that, someone who knows what "lol" means would still have taken the adoption thing to heart and tried to thwart with facts or by saying "there's no in-game proof."
URRGH! I hate it when people are so ANAL they have to go completely by the story of the game. Certain characters don't have a backstory it requires you to have a little imagination. Use your own BRAIN! These characters didn't just pop up out of nowhere like "*poof* We're here to help you or just be here and we have no reason or backstory." What's the matter with you people? I lol all the time. But only in chat windows. I used to have something against lolling but I just couldn't help it when I started playing a certain nameless MMORPG. But I wouldn't go as far as to say lol instead of laughing and such. I know some people do that.
Edit: Teh is a typo. Well, that's how it started off for me. A strange typo against many other typos I made all the time. I think it was a trend some years ago, but I'm not sure.
