when you get put in a temporary ban group you lose whatever privledges you got from your normal group. That's just how it goes.

I don't know if I'd consider the amount of PMs to be a privilage, but if having to delete a lot of PMs in order to be able to continue to use the PM system is an additional punishment, along with not being able to post in EoEO or EoW for a couple of weeks, I feel it's excessive and should be re-considered.

EDIT: Yeah, you can be in more than one usergroup.

I just thought I was pointing out what I assumed was an unintended side-effect of being EoEO banned, not opening a can of worms about how I deserve what I get or whatever. I don't even think I deserve to be banned, but was willing to deal with it silently since the staff has been having a hard time with people being douche bags, but if we're going to get into this then I will say:

It really, at this point, just depends on who sees your post or who you're posting about. I'm assuming my post got me banned only because the person it was directed towards is, as I was banned for calling him, an abrasive ass, and warned me because he likes to complain about how awful he's treated because he's a conservative, and, thought I have conservative views, I must be a conservative-hating liberal because I think he's an abrasive ass.

Let's keep the discuss on the fact that you lose your PMs when you get put in the EoEO ban group. Shlup, I don't think BoB realized that would happen and he probably feels bad about it.

Well I was never aware that losing PMs was part of the punishment, and I gotta say, eest, that I don't think you should assume that it is. Unless it was something that was discussed in the couple of weeks that I've been gone, then I would hope staff would discuss it now whether or not a PM loss would be a part of the punishment or not.

And Drunk Tank's PM limit is currently 350, by the way. Not that that group is used a lot anyway.

No man! You just have to be extra smart about how you say it. I swear when ever Sephex is around when I post in there he says something like "Don't say that! You'll get banned!"

Yeah, but if they are over the limit they will not get the pm explaining their ban, which is important.
