Okay Aeris is dead from the end of disc 1 and on. She can't be revived no matter what you do. If she did it would change the ending and there is only one ending. People keep saying that but they have no proof at all. Oh yeah dont forget that you cant play as sephiroth or young cloud either..
If you really wanted to, you could you gameshark to change sprites, but it really doesn't do any thing but make the game crash.

The concept artist for FFVII was Tetsuya Nomura. The concept artist for FFIV was Yoshitaka Amano. Amano did some FFVII art, but he wasn't the official concept artist for the game.

I think Cid's ultimate spear shoulda been a giant cigerrette as big as your average spear and you can poke peoples eyes with it and blind them or burn the crap out of them

Cid uses a spear because he's great. Perhaps he want to follow the tradition of Mog... or they didn't want to give him the use of Nunchaku because he'd be too dangerous...

Aye, playin FF5 right now and I gave Bartz the dragoon class with the !Image Command. Makes him practicly invincible AND he hits 4 times harder than my mages.

Each character is a derivitave of old fashioned classes, for example Cloud is based on a warrior or fighter, barrett and vincent would be gunmen, tifa would be a monk, so if thats the case then Cid's based off of a dragoon (hence the high jump and hyper jump limit breaks) so he uses a spear, lets get back on topic people
