    Default [A] YukiKiro's Sketchbook

i finally found out how to get my drawings on to the computer. mind you, these are sketches, not finished drawings, these come straight from my sketchbook. anyways, here is the first out of hopefully many sketches i've scanned. tell me what you think and i'll get another one up.

like i said, they're only sketches. that's actually one of the original drawings i have. here's another older one i have. its about 7 months old but its one of the better freehand drawings i've done. the large white spot was where i had a second model that i drew for figure reference.

    Your figures look *really* stiff.

If you're not, try starting with a really light stick figure sketch. This will give you the idea of where your figures will be going. That way they can be a lot more fluid, and you'll have a basis for better proportions

(yeah I have that problem a lot tooxD)

But that fairy in the first one is awful cute And you do a nice job of putting a lot of details in.

When/if you ink them, make sure to use a lot of dynamic line thicknesses, it'll make them look a lot spiffier than being all a uniform length

here's a drawing i did of grave from gungrave overdose. yes, that is a piece of tape at the top. as i was cleaning off pencil smears the paper tore. i was not ready to throw away something i just worked so hard on so i put some tape on the front and the back.

It's good for what it is, considering I can only do this.

    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

here's another one i drew off of something else. this is off of a Magic the gathering card called a buture org. you can clearly see how it got its name. the next thing i'm going to put up is a piece of a painting i did. why only a piece? the entire painting won't fit on the scanner . anyways, that is also off of a magic card.

Damn! These sketches only got better as I scrolled down more. The 2nd has a nice feeling of mystery to it, where the 3rd one I just plainly think is rather good.

here's that "piece" of painting i promised, seems like less than i thought actually fit onto the scanner. anyways, if you look in the top right corner, you can see where i accidentally knocked the painting out of line with the scanner. hope you like anyways.
