    i didn't vote conservatives as
    1. i come from a poor family. if they're anything like last time (sorry for using maggie as a comparison) we're basically going to die. my dad earns pratically nothing.
    2. i didn't want to
    3. yes lib dems are diffent and small but i agree with some of the stuff they say like the student thing (yes the new stuff won't effect me but what about others?? my brother cannot afford to go to uni if the bloody fees are £3000. seen as my dad earns £5500 a year)
    4. bloody lesser of two evils my bum. they're both the same.
    5. the war thing. they both lied about it. at least lib dems stood by what they said and told the truth
    6. just because i don't want labour in dosn't mean i vote for conservative.

yes i'm a bit of a retard when it comes to this but i still know enough to know that both conservative and labour are as bad as eachother
I didn't specifically name you as a Lib Dem voter who had no idea what they were doing. Anyway:

    1. I remember reading that the average family is now WORSE off than they were in 1997. The Tory government wasn't all Thatcher. Look at John Major. That wasn't so bad for the lower classes. Anyway, do you know what the Lib Dem's policies on the economy are and how they would affect your family?
    2. Don't then, but only Labour and Conservatives stand a chance of winning.
    3. University fees would be reduced under the Conservatives, as it happens, as Labour's "top-up" fees would be abolished.
    4. Labour and the Conservatives are not the same at all. They're opposites to each other. The only thing they agreed on was Iraq - for a time.
    5. ...please tell me when the Conservatives lied about Iraq. They said that they would support the war if the 45 minute claim was true. It was not true so they stopped supporting it. Besides, the Lib Dems want to pull Britain's troops out of Iraq. That's totally irresponsible, in my opinion, to abandon Iraq after making a mess of it.
    6. Tactically, you probably should. The Lib Dems don't stand a chance of forming a government. It's Labour or the Conservatives, and after Labour's terrible job of the country, it's high time the Tories returned.

Maybe they are as bad as each other - when they're in power. But remember that as we've had Labour for a few years, it's best to balance that out with some Conservative years, and then a few more Labour years. Each one undoes the mess the last one made, but seems to make an entirely new mess of their own.

From the way you're criticising Labour and Conservatives, Boris, it does seem to me that you voted Lib Dem because they're an alternative to them just like I said, even though I did not specifically name you as someone who'd do that. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's the impression I get.

can i point out that the lib dems have said they would only go to war if the UN approved it in ANY situation, that is with beyond a doubt the second stupidest idea i've ever heard. The first being my idea that shaving my head would make me look hard.

Another great idea of the Liberal Democrats is to scrap life prison sentences for murderers, and second time violent/sexual offenders. I can't see the logic behind that, I really can't.

Shaving your head? Haha, that reminds me of something I meant to post in this thread regarding a couple of parties.

UKIP. What a disaster. I think their best vote tally was 3,000 with most being under 2,000. And after putting up so many candidates and yielding no MP's...the amount of money wasted.

And the funny thing is, in almost every constituency where there was a BNP candidate, the BNP candidate beat the UKIP candidate. Beaten by the BNP...how embarassing! UKIP should just give up. If the few voters that voted for them voted Conservative (As of the main parties, the Tories are the most Euro-skeptic), then things might have been different.

The Official Monster Raving Loony Party got 200 votes in a couple of constituencies, including Tony Blair's Sedgefield and Michael Howard (Conservative leader)'s Folkestone.

I want to stand as a candidate for them next election.

I unfortunately did not vote; I had to give a presentation at Uni and didnt sort out a postal vote. But if I had, I would've voted Tory.
Im glad that Labours majority has been cut down, Blair wont be able to push through all the rubbish that he wants to which is good!

It's hard enough believing there is a Monster raving Loony Party...but that is just over the top! And if by chance that IS true, and the party DOES exist...well.

    I'm baboozled. XDDDD

'the student vote' should be courted more readily by the Parties!

The monster raving looney party also want to convert all cars to run on Venos to stop congestion.

And they would issue a 99p coin to save on change.

I wish the US had a Monster Raving Looney Party. Of course we do have the Constitution Party, which is almost the same thing except they're serious.

I didn't vote, but Lib Dems would have been my choice. Well, the Green Party would have been my first choice, but they don't have many candidates.

    2. Don't then, but only Labour and Conservatives stand a chance of winning.

    = Psy

I don't like that argument. The Lib Dems only got 14% less of the vote than Labour. It's only because we have this stupid first-past-the-post system that they don't do a lot better. And saying that they aren't an option is absurd. Getting votes is the only way things will change.

I can't believe so many people want the conservatives in! They strike me as rather out of touch with ordinary people.

With the Conservatives, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

    It's a well known ract.
"As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless,
uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?"
