That has got to be a joke. I'm glad I don't go to a nutso church like that one. Any real Christian would not be apart of a church that demonized so many of those things on that list.

Yep, that list is definitely a joke... but it's still pretty funny.

-Eats excessively or too little
-Eats goth-related foods.
-violently shakes head to music.
-Expresses an interest in sex.
-Masturbates.
Basically, it's listing all kinds of typical adolescent behaviour (besides the stereotypically 'Goth' stuff) and claiming it as a symptom of Gothness. You get similar lists warning, "is your child a homosexual?" and mimicing religious extremist warnings.
What's less funny, though, is that it's getting increasingly difficult to distinguish the joke sites from the serious ones. Shlup once gave me a link to a site with detailed info on male and female sexual hormone patterns. That site was chock-full of fascinating info, but the host site was owned by some kind of fundamentalist, so the data had been edited with a warning. According to this warning, all forms of contraception are morally wrong, and should never be used. This even applies to the 'rhythm method'. Apparently, if you do use this method to avoid having a child for "selfish reasons", you're as bad as any other amoral contraceptive-user who's deliberately trying to destory baby humans...
That's just an example of the kinds of extremes you can find anywhere. I've no problem with people holding extreme religious views, I'm just perturbed by the fact that extremists and satirists are becoming so hard to distinguish.

Okay, According to this, I'm a goth. I'll put in the pieces that I apply to.
-Frequently wears black clothing. - Who doesn't?
-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts. - That's because I like the band.
-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos. - I like piercings.
-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.) - This one made me laugh, as I love marilyn manson, and suprisingly, so does my mum.
-Drinks alcohol. Surely, most teenagers and adults, for that matter, do.
-Complains of boredom. Thats because theres nothing to do in this god damn town.
-Sleeps too excessively or too little. I don't sleep alot because I have problems sleeping.
-Is excessively awake during the night. Partys/TV/Computer
-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult. Well, I don't particulary want to go out with my friends, with my parents there.
-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this. Teachers are hypocrites.
-Misbehaves at school. Just describes the average teenager.
-Eats excessively or too little I enjoy my food.
-Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources. Jeez. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.) What is this world coming to?!
-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature. :rolleyes2
-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer.I enjoy talking to my friends online, forums, and my music. GOTHGOTHGOTHGOTH?!

The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center. Because I apply to 15 of the things listed, this must make me a goth AND a nutter? I think the person who WROTE this is crazy.
