A May or June American release date seems kinda long i think it would only be like Febuary or march ::Fingers Crossed:: but a realease date...that makes me even more excited.

I can't imagine that it would take more than four months following the Japanese release to get Advent Children released in North America. This isn't a game, where there's tons and tons and tons of text to translate. They've already translated a good 20 minutes of the film (as made evident by the Montreal, Venice, and Paris film festivals), and it's probable that the rest has already been translated as well.
The only things that they'll really have to do at this point is record the English voice acting and market the thing.

Good point. When it comes to games, before shipping to America, the Japanese usually add a whole bunch of new stuff to the game. Chances are, a movie won't see the same treatment.

It's so wonderful!!! I'm so happy we've finally got a release date. I'm just grateful it's coming out at all.

I don't know. If they decide to make it any longer, it'll be pushed back again, more than likely. But, they just might. I mean, if they keep pushing it back, won't they loose some people's interest, and then some people won't buy it? I'm just wondering.
