No, then they would have had to make the blue ranger Atlantean, and no one had that kind of time.
Was there a rumor that Tommy was a treehugger?
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

Power Rangers wasnt racist. They matched up the colors specifically because they spliced in the Ranger fight scenes from the original Zyurangers show. The Yellow Ranger is a boy in the Japanese show, but he was of the slightest build and spent the post time with the pink ranger in fight scenes, so they made it the other girl Ranger, hence Trini, who, by the way, was original played by a French actress in the pilot. It was stereotypical in the characters themselves (Zach being all 'hip hop'), but not racist. No, Tommy was not a treehugger. Especially since he became the white ranger, then the red ranger, then the black ranger, over the course of the series.

I know too much about that dumb show.

And I thought I was the only one who had so much free time they actually knew of "Sentai" and that the battle scenes were just recycled from the Japanese show. xD

But yeah, I remember once one of my friends came to school high and just out of the blue said "hey, you know power rangers was racist, cause the black ranger was black and the yellow ranger was asian!"...I don't think I've laughed so hard since. xD
    I like Kung-Fu.

I got all the MMPR off of bit torrent (and three of the original ZyuRanger episodes, subbed) and its SO much fun to watch and pick out the Japanese scenes. Especially when they splice in American actors for the close-ups, and still have the Japanese actors in the wide-shots. xD
