I know both of these have videos on the PSX, but I also heard loading times are longer (especially in Chrono Trigger) which is a bummer.
Which version is better? Are there any more pros and cons?

Well you get tons of extras as you play on PSX. But I dunno if you care about beastiaries and such. I honestly didn't notice much of a difference in the FF6 PSX game. But then, I didn't really get too far into it either. And I don't have the Chrono Trigger one, so can't help ya there. :/
CT has some pretty noticeable load times on the menu. I found that to be particularly obnoxious, and for some reason fast loading doesn't take care of that.
I say SNES for both personally.
If you actually have the games for both systems, I'd say play them on SNES. I'd think it would be considerably harder, and more expensive, to find the original SNES carts. I also heard Sabin's Blitz attacks in FFVI are much harder to perform with a SNES controller, but I don't know firsthand.
Playstation movies can be ripped or downnloaded. And in FF VI, not only battles are horribly slow, but even menus. The dialogue is the same throughout the story: it's not a reworking like for the older FF's, it's just a port. Only the music sounds a little bit better. Play it on SNES, for my opinion.
FFVI has some interesting extras on the PS version, but it's load times are horrid for some reason. Play it on the SNES. I don't know about Chrono Trigger.
emulator so you can speed up time and can play th games 10x faster...
If you dont already have the SNES carts, either get the roms or get the PSX versions. As Azar said, it'll be much more of a pain in the ass to track down the used copies of the carts (which can go for up to 60 bucks, I've seen), plus there's the problem with the cart batteries dying, which cant easily be fixed.
VI isnt really worth it, the cut scenes can be downloaded (as can CT's), but I find CT to be at least worth it because of all the extras and the fact that the cut scenes are actually in the game (meaning that they appear as FMVs during the corresponding scenes, whereas VI's just appear at the beginning and end). There's enough to unlock in CT to keep me happy.
yea but i say that the sound is worsr for FF VI the battle theme and the boss battles are massacred. And they are one of the best ones to
I've never had a problem with the load times. Get the PSX versions, they are easier to find and have some good extras.
