What the Hell is "Chicken Fried Steak"?

Haha, I watching a show called pepper ann right as I was looking at this site and the mother on the show cooked up chicken-fried steak and im like WHOA!!! That was so amazing.

Im reading and its on the t.v.

As unlikely as it is for me to praise something that comes from the south, you just have to have Chicken Fried Steak, it's like the best dinner ever.

yes, chicken fried steak and country fried steak are the same thing. We used to get it for lunch in grade school. It's pretty good, but very unhealthy.

It must be a southern thing. Down here, if you asked what a chicken fried steak was, you'd get shot with a few strange looks.

I'm in the south, and whenever I ask what it is. people don't shoot me with strange looks...people just threaten to shoot me.

I believe the meat used for chicken (country) fried steak is called cube steak. At least that's what mom always bought when she made the meal. I guess it could be made with round steak too. Making me kind of hungry. Especially after seeing all of the yummy grease gravy on top. xD
