Hades, god of the underworld, Zeus’s bro and married to Persephone
AKA: Aides or Aidoneus (and Pluto, Roman)
Hades is the world of the dead in Roman mythology, Elysium is its antonym

    Jupiter is also called Jove

Mercury is the god of commerce (Greek Hermes)

Gaea, goddess of the earth and mother of Cronus and the Titans (Cronus himself a Titan as well)

Mars is also the god of agriculture (weird for a war god); father of Romulus and Remus (Greek Castor and Pollux)

Saturn, god of agriculture and vegetation (Greek Cronus . . .?)

Pallas Athena/Pallas/Athena/Athene, goddess of wisdom and useful arts and PRUDENT warfare

I knew it! Aphrodite is also the goddess of beauty. I knew but I forgot.

Hercules, in CLASSICAL mythology, was a hero noted for his strength who performed 12 immense labors to gain immortality. (Alcides/Heracles)
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

I love Greek Mythology. Well, I just love mythology. Pity I can't really distinguish between Greek/Roman/Norse mythology and all that, so I have this random collection of stories I like and have no real idea what category they fit into.

it's the most interesting ancient mithology that exists!
the myths and the histories are just fantastic and no civilization on that time had such a beautiful mithology as well as an organization of society that the countries still use nowadays.

    is there anibody out there?

I agree. We need at least 1000 members to make 3000 posts, and each one needs to make 3 posts here. So, it's clearly impossible.
I think this would be better off as a neverending story. Maybe the next topic.

I think the current topic will be the weather. What was it like in your part of the world today? We had a bit of everything here in BC. Some rain, some wind and some sunshine. It was a nice day all in all, but the forecast is rain for the rest of the week.
