Grin usb flash drive boot disk?

    http://www.weethet.nl/english/hardwa...omusbstick.php

I've been trying to do this for a while, and it's not working. Anyway, is it possible to use a flash drive as a boot disk?

Edit: OR advise me on how to boot into dos so I can fiddle with Fdisk

It's easy to get in DOS. Insert a floppy in your PC, then in Windows, rightclick the A: drive and choose Format. Then select "Make an MS-DOS start-up disk".

Once that's done, just reboot and your PC should boot into DOS with the floppy you just made. fdisk is part of the floppy's contents, too.

Be careful with messing around with partitions, though!

Lastly, it's possible to use a flash drive as a boot disk, but your motherboard must be able to support that. You'll have to look in the BIOS settings for that. Good luck. xD

That makes sense. Because your flash drive is now the active partition, it's named C and not your OS partition. You just have to live with it. xD

If you want your OS partition to be C, you'll just have to boot off your HDD instead. Or perform a forced rename on the partition, but blerg, I don't recommend that.

You could probably fit Win98 on some of those USB drives.
