Also be aware that there are some minor branches in the storyline. For example: (SPOILER) When you fight X-ATM092, you can actually destroy it. If you do, you won't see the scene where Quitis finishes it off with the boat's guns.

I think fanfictions are stories based off of existing published stories (movies, novels, etc...) that go beyond the original storyline, written by fans of the original stories.
