I'm trying to install Sonic the Hedgehog CD on my computer, I put in the disc to install it and I got this error message. (see attachment). The installation starts up but right when the software starts looking for direct X the installation stops saying it has errors. Is there a way I can fix this? I think if I can replace the .dll or something it might help.

Whether it's hidden or not is irrelevant - you try to stick another file in that folder with the same name, it'll overwrite it whether it's visible or not, after asking you. Though if it's ME/XP, WFP should restore the correct one either almost immediately or upon reboot anyway and get rid of whatever junk you attempted to put there.
