I bet Sony will be willing to take a bit of a loss on the price of the PS3 because they'll be able to usher in the use of BluRay DVDs. That way they can make millions selling movies and make up the loss they make on the hardware. And Killzone 2 looks absolutely incredible. It's like playing a really good CG movie. I'd love to get one at launch, but right now there isn't a killer app that makes me want the system. Hardware wise, though, it's extremely impressive. I just hope it has the same online type of service (player profiles, etc.) that Xbox/Xbox 360 does/will have.

It was under my impression when I read a few articles on it was that it WILL be backwards compatible with PS1 games.

If it's fully backwards compatible you can always trade in the PS2 to help defray the costs. Or the Xbox. After all, that oversized coaster can probably trade in for a good amount of cash.
WOW... XD I'm watching this on G4 right now! Sony has out done themselves! Even the graphics demo alone is amazing! Its almost like a Disney 3D movie! and its all real time! It would take my computer 5 days to prerender most of this stuff... and I have a good computer. XD
This is just the tip of the ice burg! It looks like FFX movies, cept its all playable graphics!!!!!

Im gonna guess around 400$ really, the price wars is where its at now and could very well decide their fate! What Sony needs to do now is release it asap, cuz timing and pricing, is everything.
