Playstation 3 revealed

For those of us smart enuf, i traded my Ps2 in for the MINIps2, which will have a higher resale value, probably not very much, but an extra 15$ could make a difference in my case.

I always wonder though, what happens with all the old game machines, i hope people dont throw them away... There probably a huge landfill full of old ps1s and nintendos and segas... Id like to see some tradebacks for recycling!

Ofcourse i still have my ps1 and my ps2... i dont know if ill be selling them, u never know when ur going to need one. >.<

What I wonder is, will the ps3 be compatible with ffxi? i hope it is, i cant play it on my minips2 bcuz of a lack of hd, but if they actually let u play it on the ps3 ill start playing it, i do know that they r putting it on the xbox 360 now...

I like the white over the silver. isnt the text on the PS3 exactly like the font on the front of Spider man 2?

yah whites pretty kick ass, but then again, if i didnt have corresponding hardware to match... it would kinda be dum cuz itd be so random. White matches the "mac" "apple" look, silver matches alot of tvs out there, and black matches most other sony products (the PSP) so there r logical reasons for each "color"

So appearantly everyone at E3 is saying that the PS3 will be backwards compatable to NOT ONLY PS2 games! It WILL (thank you god, or maybe I should thank Sony) It will play PS1 games as well!!

Thats what I was hoping for! ^__^/ I'm so glad Sony made this a feature! Which means we can dump our PS2s without worrying about not being able to play those PS1 games we love!

Yes! I was just telling Luff-kun this. We can dump our PS2 to help pay for the PS3 ( -worries about the price!- ).
I think the controller looks a little odd but I have a feeling it'll fit very nice in the palm of your hands. Don't knock it until you try it. ^_^-

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but it doesn't appear to be especially functional. I think they should have kept it more like the DualShock, but maybe but the analog stick in place of the D-Pad, so that the two sticks are on different axises.
