Nitendo will NEVER be gone. Microsoft doing so BADLY in Japan makes me believe that Microsoft's the one who will end up "dead."

    *points to DS sales* :chuckle:
Soon, Wii will be selling in the same way.

pfft! Nitendo gone, give ma a break.

The old days were awesome, when SONY and Nintendo went at it. It was magical

    Metal Gear VS Zelda

    Mario VS Crash

    ect.

Just saw this screenshot from Sadness for the Wii.

(If that^ link doesn't work this one next should...)

I don't see how anyone could doubt the Wii's visual abilities, after seeing a screenshot like that. ^_~

On the April 4, 2006, NIBRIS released two screen-captures "based-on" Sadness. The two pictures were released to Revolution Report who could only confirm that the two pictures were not screen-captures from a Sadness film.
Sounds like promotional material. Considering that another picture showed a woman holding the Wii controller it's probably just to demonstrate how the game would work. Not to mention that those screenshots (if that's what they are) look better than most pre-rendered CG.

http://gameinformer.com/NR/rdonlyres...149/rayman.jpg looks more on par with what I've heard of it's capabilities.

Not that it really matters, they clearly stated that they want to move away from the graphic centric side of gaming. The graphics are obviously intended to come second after gameplay.

Just for reference, those are live action shots, not 3D generated graphics.

Thats funny, I was told the screenshots were part of a trailer for Sadness, which contains some live action shots of a woman playing the game, and scenes from the game.

    Thus I'm just assuming that,
    THIS is Live action:
    http://media.revolution.ign.com/medi...g_3568837.html

    And THIS is in-game:
    http://media.revolution.ign.com/medi...g_3568839.html

Which would lead me to beleive that this too is in-game:
    http://media.revolution.ign.com/medi...g_3569365.html

Otherwise this would be a very weird trailer, with no game play, just live action stuff O_o;... And I'm sure their trailer, which they might show at E3, will have game play in it.

I could be wrong... O_o... Its just, whats the point in releasing pictures like this, if they aren't from the game...

A new controller has been shown! It's official!

    Source

-Miyamoto comes out in a conductor's outfit and proceeds to use the Wii controller to conduct an orchestra in real time (sadly, he has no sense of timing it seems).
    - Reggie comes out and talks then confirms a speaker in the Wii controller.
    - A video is played that shows Wii games: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, A flight simulator, and the new WarioWare.
    - Zelda is also shown during this video which shows off the Wii functionality: i.e. fishing as well as using the hookshot.
    - Another video with games: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Dragon Quest Swords, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Fire Emblem, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Cars, Super Mario Galaxy, SD Gundam G Breaker, Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, Sengoku Action, Excite Truck, Elebits, Red Steel, Rayman 4, Pangya, Sonic, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Finalfurlong Revolution, Madden, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and Twilight Princess.
    - Nintendo confirms they will launch Twilight Princess along with the Wii.
    - Twilight Princess controls for the Wii explained as well as how the speaker in the controller will react when you use the bow (you'll hear the bow pull taut).
    - Excite Truck is shown, you turn the Wii controller on its side to steer.
    - Along with Excite Truck are 2 more new franchises, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. and Disaster: Day of Crisis.
    - More Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles shown.
    - 3rd party Wii games announced: Sonic, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles., Madden 07, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Rayman 4, Spongebob Squarepants.

    - No price or date will be announced at thist time.
    - Ubisoft demoed their Red Steel Wii title.
    - George Harrison comes out and gives us stats.
    - DS games: Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, Pokemon (red/blue Dungeon)

    - Winner of the AOL contest to be the first to play comes up and plays Tennis with Iwata, Miyamoto, and Reggie. The avatars for the three Nintendo guys are hilarious.

I saw that earlier today, and I have to question how ergonomic it is. It seems like it might almost be a step back to Genesis - not even SNES-quality, really. But I haven't seen the back or had the chance to hold it, so I'll wait before passing judgment.

I just looked at a video from IGN, and I must say, I am extremely impressed. I know I will need practice with the controller, but mark my words, I am going to get a Nintendo Wii as soon as I possibly can!!

I have to say, I'm VERY hyped about Zelda on the Wii... not only does the new controller work VERY well with the gameplay... but OMG the Speakers on the controller are going to totally OWN! XD

Imagine hearing the sound of a bow being pulled back in your hands, or the sword hitting its target, or even the sound of the arrow, as u let it go, wizzing from your hand to the screen... thats just going to be ...drooltastic! XD

Darn this reminds me... I need to go back to GameStop tomorrow, and check on my Zelda PreOrder... I need to make sure they give me the Wii version, not the gamecube version... XD
