The spellings definitely intentional. All the organization members who are original (not Mickey and Riku) all have X in there name.
Marluxia, Larxene, Vixen, Axel, Lexeus, Zexion and now Xalden. The only one who doesnt tie in with it is DiZ but hes certainly different to the Black hooded unknowns.
